St Jerome’s Primary School encourages students to become involved in activities outside the classroom. The diverse co-curricular program includes student ministry, giving or service activities; sporting activities and cultural activities.

The Health & Physical Education staff is dedicated to providing an excellent sports program within school hours, exposing the students to more than 30 different sports. Students are also encouraged to live an active lifestyle and to take responsibility for their own health and well-being.
Junior Primary (Kindergarten to Year 2)
Students participate in the Perceptual Motor Program (PMP). This focus of this program is to aid the development of the child’s fundamental movement skills, which enable children to participate in structured games with confidence and skill.
Upper Primary (Year 3 to Year 6)
Students go on to extend, utilise and adapt their skills consolidated at the junior level in a more game play approach.
St Jerome’s Primary School has three main carnivals:
- Swimming – students from Year 4 to Year 6
- Cross Country – students from PrePrimary to Year 6
- Athletics – involving students from PrePrimary to Year 6.
Interschool Sports and Carnivals
Students from St Jerome’s Primary School also have the opportunity to participate in various interschool events and carnivals throughout the year, these include:
- League Tag (similar to touch rugby using flag belts),
- Cross Country
- Winter Carnival which involves Football, Netball, Volleyball and Soccer.
